Deadline is our limited release imperial Belgian-style stout aged in bourbon barrels. A blend of classic roasted malts, flavorful Belgian artisan malts, and dark candi sugar create this rich and full-bodied stout. Vanilla beans add smooth caramel notes, accenting the alcoholic effervescence. Conditioning in fresh Kentucky bourbon whiskey barrels contributes to the robust and complex finish.

12oz can pours out cola brown topped with a small sand head. Nose is nice sweet cherries some rich pitfruit and some barrel notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet cherries bourbon barrel vanilla pitfruit.

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, mostly clear, head fades. Boozy aroma, malty. Taste is warm, malty, lightly boozy, cherry and vanilla are mere accents. The Sea Salt Caramel was far superior.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a moderate creamy tan head. Aroma of cherry, brandy and dark malt. Full bodied. Flavor is bourbon, cherry, dark malt, vanilla and some oak astringency. Chocolate covered cherry takes a bit of imagination but seems fair. Pretty good ale.
