On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma has a nice dry woody roasted malt character and gentle hops to back. Flavour is dry, with a nice dry toasted malt character, light earthiness, and gentle bitterness. Has a nice depth for a sub-5% stout. Pleasant.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the brewery taproom. Pours deep cola brown with a frothy, beige head. Light sweet flavour with smooth toasted malts, cocoa, ash, tobacco, nips of raisins. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation and velvety. Clean, balanced and moreish to finish, lovely dry ashy roast and subtly bitter cocoa. Excellent.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a dense beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roast malts, citrus peel. Taste of dark chocolate, roast malts, coffee, hops are quite assertive, a little citrusy and piney, dry and strong bitter finish. Another outstanding stout at a sensible strength.

Bottle from Kernel brewery webshoppe. It pours near black with handsome tan head. The aroma is freshly toasted bread, dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, pine forest, touch of mango, peach, sacher torte and chocolate bourbon biscuits. The taste is initially dry, bitter - sweet character but it is the bitterness that lingers, pleasing deep roasted malt, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, charred wood, light tannin, peppery spice, touch of tropical fruits, mango, peach, twist of citrus and pine dust with a drying, dark roasted finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Kernel showing as ever that they are the kings of Dry Stout (amongst other things). Interesting, robust and quaffable.
