We based the recipe for this Stout on its big brother Golgotha which is a very popular stout, however we have dialled down the ABV to make a more session able Stout but with just as much body and flavour packed in

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small cream head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma, just vague hints of roasted malts and liquorice. In the mouth it is quite sweet with a creamy texture with malts and spices to the fore. Hints of rye and dark fruits with traces of treacle and chocolate coming later. Some bitterness in the finish. This is reasonable if somewhat rough and ready.
