The Lumberjack - nowofalowa mieszanka czarnego wyspiarskiego Stoutu z amerykańskim chmieleniem. Żyto wykorzystane w zasypie nadaje piwu oleistości, która koresponduje z posmakiem czekolady oraz mocną żywiczną goryczką. Aromat bogaty w nuty kawowe i czekoladowe, uzupełnione o cytrusową słodycz.

Butelka. Czarne, nieprzejrzyste, z jasną, drobnopęcherzykową, choć bardzo nietrwałą pianą. W aromacie dużo gorzkiej czekolady, uzupełnionej trochę pumperniklem. W smaku też bardzo czekoladowo, z wyraźnym specyficznym zaznaczeniem żyta. Bardzo fajna goryczka w niemalże idealnym stopniu zbalansowana między chmielową a paloną. Praktycznie brak nasycenia, jedynie delikatne kłucie w przełyk i jednoczenie dość oleista faktura. Bardzo miłe piwo do powolnego sączenia przy meczu ;)

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty. Chocolate malty. Roasted, chocolate and sweet malty. Slight bitter. Light herbal. Dry and bitter far finish.

Flaska från Ebrowarium.pl drucken med ölföreningen. En torr, ganska lätt och riktigt kärv stout. Mörk bitter choklad, hårdrostad malt, tallskott och ganska tuff beska. Snygg men svårflörtad och kanske lite obalanserad.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of grain and touches of basement bacteria. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of hops and malt and yeast. Touches of citrus. Bitter, hoppy and citruslike aftertaste. Decent.

Bottle, 6.7%. Roasted and salty aroma, yeast and coffee. Almost black colour, seems cloudy. Small frothy brown head. The flavour is roasted and yeasty with a distinct teaish hop aroma. Some jam flavour. Quite roasted finish.

50cl bottle at Piwna Stopa pours a watery but dark black with some creamy, off white head. Nose is inviting, malt, toast, molasses, mild pepper, rye is present. Flavor is sweet with malt and molasses, chewy grains and bread, some licorice, molasses chews, mild pepper. Finishes dry. Drinks like 4%, in a good way.
