Tasting at Matt’s
Black color, small head, whatever there is disappears quickly. The aroma reveals a Black IPA, it’s roasty and hoppy, pungent. Roasted and coffeish flavor, dark bread, rye, and reasonable bitterness; a bit undercarbonated, but nice.

Bottle - Dark kinda Woody and earthy, dirty and mushroom notes. Dirty brown with a small head. Tastes as it smells. Earthy mess.

500mL bottle, pours black with a light reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma is quite sharp, with bitter coffee, roasted malt, and strange earthy hops. Flavour is very earthy, with lots of coffee bitterness, earthy hops, and bitter cocoa. Lots of sharp astringency in here. Not very convincing, but maybe seems stale / old. Okay.

Medium brown. No head. This has a mellow dark malt character with a fair bit of berryish hop. On the palate, this is quite light. Has a light bitterness, some hop fruitiness, and honestly there’s little in the way of malts. Maybe some chocolate.

Bottle at a tasting. Assertively roasty, chocolate, coffeeish. Dry, easy drinking, quite good.

Bottle kindly shared by rusos, many thanks. Dark brown color with medium white head. Roasted malt, coffee, citrus hops in aroma. Taste, strong coffee, roasted malt, citrus hops. Very good.

Piana nieistniejaca, do tego p?ywaj?ce farfocle z dro?d?y. W aromacie intensywna palonosc, kawa, czekolada, po??czone z ameryka?skim chmielem - ?ywica, cytrusy. W smaku przede wszystkim palone, kwaskowe, lekko kawowe zwie?czone do?? wysoka chmielowa zywiczno - zio?owa goryczka. Nasycenie praktycznie nieobecne, tektura pe?na, g?adka. Bardzo dobry stout.

Draught. Black colour, minimal head. Aroma is mostly red grapefruit, finish is resin. No notes you could associate with a stout. Medium bitterness. Light body. A bit boring, and has nothing to do with a stout.

Butelka 0,5 z datą ważności 03.10.2016, temperatura degustacji 12-14 stopni +, szkło teku. Aromat: głównie czekolada, paloność, mało tej Ameryki praktycznie brak chmieli które są charakterystyczne, w tle wyczuwalna delikatnie citra, z drugiej strony dobrze bo to stout a nie bipa. Barwa: czarne, nie przejrzyste. Piana: beżowa, zbita, aczkolwiek niska pomimo nalewania z wymuszeniem max 2cm, opada praktycznie do zera, nie zdobi szkła. Smak: Moim zdaniem najmocniejsza strona tego piwa, pierwszy łyk i od razu atakuje cytrusowo-palona goryczka która szybko znika i pozostaje kawowy długi finisz i ziemisty posmak, do tego wszystkiego piwo jest oleiste, gładkie, pełne ale nie zatyka, wysycenie średnie do niskiego wszystko jest wywarzone i tworzy całkiem przyjemną całość. Podsumowując :skupiając się tylko na smaku to naprawdę dobre piwo, oceniając w stylu zawsze można się czegoś czepić.

Smooth and slightly sweetish brew. Not too much bitterness, dry and slightly roasted body. Fresh with floral hops. Moderate bitter in the aftertaste, fruity, floral hops with a slightly grainy body. Nice!!
