Bottleworks XXIV is an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels brewed with our dear friendsrrels. After blending it was conditioned on macadamia nuts and single origin Papua New Guinea vanilla.

Draught@TCBW2023. Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some toffee, plum, figs and mild bourbon and vanilla too. Flavour is nutty, some liquorice, toffee, plum, figs, mild dried fruits with mild toasted and some coffeeish and vanilla tones. Alcohol is nicely in the background supporting the depth and warming feel of the beer.

Bottle shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has notes of macadamia and vanilla with roasted malts, barrel and dark grains backing. Flavor has macadamia and sweet dark grains supported by vanilla and chocolate supporting.

500ml (thx, Joe S. for the beer and Matt B. for the perfect execution of the logistics while bringing it!) on Alex's porch. Appearance: opaque dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: quite heavy, loads of nuts, chocolate, American oak. Taste: along the same lines, a bit boozy. Overall: very nice.

Sample @TCBW 2023 Opaque colour, small brownish head. Sweet, toasted aroma. Full-bodied. Sweet, vanilla, nuts, cocoa in the flavour. Sweet but balanced.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a medium dark brown head. Nose is complex, with intense bourbon and macadamia, followed by subtle vanilla beans. Flavour is bold, with heavy bourbon and roasted macadamia nuts, with a subtle amount of bourbon. Very nutty and fairly dry, with a bourbon-heavy and nutty finish. Excellent.

A small taste on tap @ TCBW 2023. Pours very dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon. Flavor is sweet roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, hops. Good.
