Keg at MBCC 2018 Red (session Trois), 11/05/18. Rich chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is nutty, dried fruits, pissy fruit tang, stale brown bread. Taste comprises tarte red berries, funk, light spice, vinous, light varnish, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a tarte fruit bite. Ok dark saison but show me one thats better than a golden / regular saison !

Sample at the Portland tasting room. The beer is a cloudy reddish-mahogany color with a medium thick frothy light beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sticky small patches of lacing. Aroma of yeast, spice, cola and malt. Medium body with flavors of earthy yeast, funky fruit, spice and malt. The finish is mildly funky and tart with a spiced fruit and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
