Cask glass @ Lambiek-O-Droom. Sampled after the Classic Faro. Great experiment and historical recreation accompanied by explanation from Armand. Dark orange amber, head is shockingly stable here, remained even after I finished the beer. Nose is funky with low sweet raw caramel, obviously way less sweet than the classic version, more like thick raw sweet wort barn funk. Taste is funky, thicker than your average 3 Fonteinen lambiek, sweetness is low, lightly empty, vague caramel, funk is clear & difference is mainly the thickness of it, nice barn funk, mellow, little oak quality, way less sweet, candy sugar one is more my thing but this one was tasty & interesting for sure.
