Can from Tavour. Pours translucent gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma of citrus/pine with some pale stone fruit. Med plus body at least. Flavor is juicy - touch of sweet malt immediately submerged in a lot of citrus/pine that might be called dank. Fruit and citrus/pine. Dryish. Quite hoppy and bitter. Very nice.

Big thanks to Doug, this beer rating is not going to be above average, but hey, I think he gets a kick out of my two’s, hehehee. So, what am I gonnah do? I get this big rat sticky hands IPA from douglass88 and I’m going to hate it, which means, BTW, the lower my score the more you manly, or womanly, or whatever; will love it. Ipa has gone thru this evolution the last 10 years; from totally bastard to masses love it. Its got to be a man thing, I’m just saying. Its finally sunny and 70 here today, you’d think Doug would send me some cheap pale lagers? NOOOOOO, its IPA, big bitter IPA. You know, there used to be commercials round here about a local brew that touted; it’s not the bitter beer, but now, you got to be the bitterest, DUDE! This stuff is so in yer face, its big, its bitter; its like chewing on green grapefruit rind or perhaps gooey sticky pine needles? Not sure. . . But at least they’re not rotten, like so many domestic brews. Yea, this is a real biiterbastard; bullocks! And, guess what? This is from Oregon? The state with no firearm laws due to riots? What – EV -hah. Just take a city block and destroy all property, there you have it. This stuff is so freshly bitter, it makes it hard to criticize! Well, yeah, it is kind of juicy, the contemporary description we’ll say. And finally, it gets to the end of the pounder can, which seemed to take for ever, one big pound of high alky bitterness. I’ll say at least I got a buzz of this single can; at eight-‘er nine-‘er, its packing a small wallop. Big thanks douglass88. BTW IPA lovers, but not Doug in particular; is that sticky hands r sticky fingers, heheh, just asking. There, you have it.

Clear golden and lightly peach tinted body with a nice three to four centimetre tall off-white head that takes a long time to fade. Aroma of bright grassy and very floral hops with a lot of alpha acids, some nice subdued sweetness is noticeable from the citrus fruits and a dry characteristic from the malts near the end. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich hoppy bite at first that shows fresh-cut grass, citrus fruits, pine, resin and a good deal of floral notes, but all balanced well with malts and a touch of yeast and breadiness towards the end, without fruits, sweetness or any real punch, even the alcohol is fairly well muted. Aftertaste shows a great hit of alpha acids and hop bitterness, but much less of the grapefruit and citrus elements - more of the grass and floral hoppiness shines through, with a good layer of malt on the finish. Overall, a very nice almost Imperial-ish IPA that shows a fresh hopped West Coast Style with a slight piney, but more grassy and floral bite with a good level of malts throughout. Great to sample, especially super fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased a few hours before at Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 28-March-2021 for US$3,99 sampled in my hotel room down in Bend, Oregon a few hours later on 28-March-2021.
