Opaque colour and steady beige head. Coffee, toasted malts, maple syrup in the nose. Medium-bodied. Coffeish, syrupy, toasted malts, sweetish. Quite light for its abv. Taproom.

Can pour purchased from the brewery 3/22. It's an opaque, inky black with light sparkle, some floaties, light viscosity, thin cap of light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malts (maybe a touch of maple) and coffee. Taste is strong, decadent, sweet malt, chocolate, and late maple. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation, late mild alcohol heat, and finish as taste. Overall, this is a thick, sweet dessert sipper to be sure! Doesn't get too sweet (IMHO) and coffee and maple are restrained overall.

Draft at City Tap. Dark black brew and smallish beige head. Thick maple and coffee on nose. Tastes of lots of maple syrup but not cloying, bitter coffee grind, chocolate, earth, figs. Chewy palate. Some booze warming.

Opening Bash: pours black with beige head. Aroma is sweet maple, coffee and chocolate. Taste is sweet, loads of maple. Lighter than most hefty boys of course.
