Canned 7/16/24, drunk 9/17/24. Clear bright brass-warm-honey. Large, fluffy, well-retained, white head. Smells better than the French pilsners I've had from Notch. Less intense pepper and papery/crackery malts. Still crackery but a touch of honey and white bread helps sooth things. Clean, light mineral, low acidity from hop. In the mouth it's crackery, papery, dry, not a ton of malt depth. So apparently French pilsner means lager with a thin, crackery body....granted this is much less offensive than many I've had. I've had shitty french lagers and just because those are thin and papery, doesn't seem to mean you need to emulate that part of the beer....I guess it's a fine beer to drink in large quantity, or with food, but standing alone...well, it doesn't stand alone very well. Though it is clean, dry and the hops aren't overdone.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a nice creamy white head. Aroma is grassy/spicy. Near med body. Flavor is grassy/spicy with some pepper. Bready malt support. Dry. Nicely bitter. Really good flavor.
