Dark brown with a brown head - Malt aroma with some wood and fruity tones - Dark malt body with good fruity flavours and some wood barrel as well - Dark malt and fruity flavours goes into the finish - This was real good

Capped 500 from Tavour. Pours clear but dark brown with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of wine with some old wood notes. Definitely full in body. Not dry but avoids sticky. Flavor is port wine, and I can imagine sherry as well, with darky roasty/toasty but far from burnt malt. There's heat, but not at an annoying level. The malt perseveres and seems to have a flavor I can't recall. Hints of oak astringency and a touch of mustiness can be discerned. This is wonderful ale!
