Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours clear, darkly ruddy brown with a decent foamy tan head. Aroma is kind or earthy/spicy. Med body or better. Flavor is earthy, dark toffee, spicy with noticeable oats and chocolate. Not finding lactose. Some coffee comes along - might have mistaken that for earth. Quite dry. Moderately bitter.

Can. Mahogany-black beer with a brown head. Oat and chocolate aroma. Chocolate and spice flavor with light coffee and lactose. Medium bodied. Chocolate and spice linger with lactose and caramel.
