From rediscovered notes, drank January 2019. Cask at the Manchester Beer Festival, Manchester Central, Windmill Street, Petersfield, Manchester. Black pour with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, liquorice toffee, some dark berries coming through. Flavours of coffee, burnt toast, dark chocolate, liquorice toffee. Roasty malty finish.

Cask (handpump) @ #MBCF19, [ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2019 ], Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill St, Petersfield, Manchester, Great Manchester, England M2 3GX. [ As Dot Brew Midnight ]. Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, fruity malt, light wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, chocolate, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
