Imperial Stout Aged In Bourbon Barrels with Chocolate, Vanilla, & Cinnamon. The base of this beer is a blend of Parabola and Velvet Merkin, two iconic imperial stouts aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels. Inspired by memories of childhood campfire treats, we then recirculated this blend through copious amounts of cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks. The result is both balanced and stunning - we know you'll want s'more.

Appearance is oily black, with some beige bubbles round the edge. Aroma is chocolate, marshmallow, caramel, coconut, cinnamon hints, coffee, roast malt, toffee, hint of booze. Taste is chocolate, chilli, brownie, bourbon and vanilla, caramel and toffee, nutty malt, cinnamon, peppery spice, coffee, chocolatey finish. Nice, not too full-on.

12 oz bottle from Firestone Brewery Store. Nose is chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla mixed with a hint of bourbon. Black with a big cinnamon tan head. Flavor is moderately sweet and I agree almost like a S’more.

Nightcap delt med Steven, en 0,355 flaske fra Utobeer: brunsvart med ok skum. Nydelig aroma og smak av luxuskaffe, kakao, kokos, vanilje og mørke chokolader. Halvtørr og livgivende avslutning.

Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop Berkel-Enschot Netherlands, consumed at home Sunday 6th April 2025, we had Spicy Pork and Fennel Polpette in a Rich Tomato Sauce and now with this beer homemade Triple Chocolate Brownies, listening to Tom Robinson on 6Music. Pours black with a light beige head, vanilla and a little dark bitter treacle show but also the bourbon is now coming through. Lovely soft mouthfeel, creamy textured but thick and warming and just a bit indulgent. Yeah it's a complex Impy Stout, but it's lovely, not too sweet at all and with a lovely bitterness. Drinking this in memory of Loz's dad Graham whose birthday it would have been yesterday.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingman, 22/02/2025.
Black with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl and edgeing.
Nose is chocolate, cinnamon, molasses, spice, dark malts, toasted brown sugars.
Taste comprises chocolate, rocky roads, cinnamon, brown sugar melt, dried raspberries, toffee fudge, molasses.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid fun time pastry.
