It ain’t easy with a Baltic Porter, and especially not with its imperial version. The stakes are high and it comes down to this: Go big or go home. This beer HAS TO BE good, otherwise its existence is pointless.
Super strong starting extract (26° Plato),loads of chocolatey and burnt malt, plenty of warming up alcohol, distinctive coffee, chocolate, nuts, prunes flavours. And above all, matching bitterness, one that doesn’t overwhelm, but rather encompasses all flavours beautifully.
Be sure to try our barrel aged Ragnars – Floki, Björn and Ivar – as well!

Bottle. Almost black color, brown foam. Powerful aroma: coffee, caramel, prunes, crust of pie, sweet, wine, good. Taste: caramel, prunes, port wine, dried fruits, bitter chocolate, raisins, brandy, pie crust, powerful, but soft and good.

Barwa niemal czarna, piana beżowa, dość obfita, umiarkowanie trwała. W aromacie kawa, paloność, nieco chmielu, czekolada - risowo. W smaku półwytrawne, sporo kawy, paloności, gorzkiej czekolady. Goryczka średniowysoka, niskie nasycenie, ciała nie brakuje, trochę alkohol nieułożony. Konkret, skręca w kierunku RISa i tak bym w ciemno obstawiał. Poza delikatnymi mankamentami nie ma się do czego przyczepić.

Draught at Mutedhorn. Brownish black with a tan head. Aroma of warm fruit. Flavour is warming fruit booze, toasted malt, a little spicy, toasted malt, a real winter warmer.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Trzech Kumpli Ragnar ].Clear dark black colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, light wood. Initial flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter, with a long duration, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, roasted, light wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20171229] 8-5-8-4-18

Barwa czarna, piana gęsta koloru beżowego. W aromacie mocno wyczuwalne nuty gorzkiej czekolady, kakao. W smaku również wyczuwalne kakao, gorzka kawa oraz delikatne nuty wędzonych śliwek. Gorycz na niskim poziomie, alkohol bardzo dobrze schowany.

Dark brown. Aroma is fish, soy sauce, lots of roast, milk chocolate. Taste is sweet phenols, some bitter roast. Very tickly in the throat, very unsmooth. Finish is more soy sauce Very umami. Would probabaly not drink a bottle because it is so intense. But this is still nice.

Bottle. Darkest brown, dark brown head. Roast, chocolate, iodine aroma. Medium full, creamy body. Fairly fish- and soy-sauce up front, creamy chocolate, light spice, chocolate mousse finish.

Bottle. Thick black color with large dark beige head. Aroma is chocolate, some woodsmoke, earthy, toasty, a touch fishy. Taste is earthy, chocolate, some milk chocolate. Super-velvety mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Amazing Baltic Porter, despite the fishiness.
