Bottle @ Home. Pours dark golden with a small offwhite head, light lacings. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread, nuts, light dusty, red berries. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, bread, little wood, berries, very light whisky, some alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish with light warming alcohol. 031218

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a slightly hazy, reddish amber with only a tiny, off-white head. Malty, toffeeish aroma with no real trace of whiskey. Medium body, again sweet toffeeish malt with a hint of roast - and an even smaller hint of whiskey (but probably only because I know it's there). Doesn't taste like a barrel-aged beer at all - probably because it isn't. As I understood an insider, the beer has simply had Tullamore-soaked oak chips added to the tank, which gives a totally different impression than barrel-aging. Luckily the beer is fairly cheap, otherwise it would have been a rip-off! 191118

Bottle from Kvickly. Hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, nutty and red fruit. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter. Better than expected, but no real impact from the whiskey cask. 151118
