[1/31/16] Bottle sample at RateBeer Best festival in Santa Rosa. Black with a tan head. Aroma of vegetal leafy fruity hops, roast, coffee. Roasty flavor, bitter, hoppy.

Bottle at RB Best Festival, 31/01/16. Black topped with a dirty tan head that retains well - a real looker. Nose is pine needle, Ribena berry, charr, spice, toffee. Taste comprises light charr, cocoa powder, red berry linger, grain, raisens, earthy hop. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a roasted rap and earthy hop bitterness. Solid CDA.

Bottle sample at 2015 RateBeer Best festival. Pours cloudy black, small brown head with good lacing. Aroma is roasty, pine. Flavor is medium plus bittter, light plus sweet. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty standard Black IPA 101 stuff here, but solid for what it is.
