Keg at the brewpub. Pours clear ruby, nose is smoky, berries, caramel, taste is, sweet, fruity, berries, burnt malts. 8/7/8/8/7

Dark brown with a reddish hue and a medium sized tan head. Toasty and woody with dark fruit and molasses. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Tap at Haymarket. Rich, strong, rough around the edges. Old school US Doppel. A little warm.

On tap at Haymarket - Bridgman, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out liquid rye bread, with caramel, molasses and toffee. Flavour is very malty but not all that sweet, with liquid rye bread, dark red fruits, and caramel. Really nicely constructed. Complex and clean for such a high-gravity beer. Excellent.
