This Wee Heavy is a malty beer. At the time, the hops were grown in England in places like Kent, Hereford and Worcestershire. The distance made it too expensive to ship them to Scotland. High quality malt, on the other hand, is produced in Scotland and thus became the true hero of this style.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie en Keukeman. Het is een troebel donker robijnrood bier, met een fijne beige schuim. De geur is karamel en banaan achtig. De smaak is zoet, pruimen, karamel en koffie in de afdronk.
