This ridiculously tasty Amber Ale is a Northwest classic and our flagship brew. Don’t just take our word for it - Full Sail Amber has brought home 28 gold medals. Not that we’re counting or anything. Malty sweet, medium-bodied with a reddish amber hue and a spicy floral hop finish, this is one great-tasting beer. We’re as proud of it today as we were back in ’89.

Dark amber pour with a thin beige head. Notes of citrus, grapefruit, caramel, light metallic fruit oxidation, pilsner malts, fragrant honey. Medium body, smooth texture and carbonation and a bitter-sweet finish. Surprisingly decent for its average rating.

Pours dark, yet very clear amber. Small white head fades fast. Smell is toasty, tad sweet, medium to medium low intensity. Taste is bitter, tad herbal, rather mild toastyness, but it builds up towards the aftertaste, as the bitterness fades away and gives the other aspects more playround. Medium mouthfeel, medium carbo. Aftertaste is toasty, tad herbal notes from the hops. Clear fermentation profile.

Got as a gift @ Billie’s Bier Festival 2017. Thanks to the organization. No date. Quite dark chestnut amber, tanned head. Nose is herbal, stale kitchen spices, leaves, thin plastic caramel. Taste is thick weird plastic caramel, autumn leaves, stale lingering kitchen spices, weird thick plastic oil, almost vague oxidation. Lingering stale kitchen spices. Like a weird thicker Spéciale belge or a lacklustre thicker bitter.

From Feb 2008

I got this in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks John!

It pours from 12oz bottle a clear amber with a solid 2 finger head of foam. I'm near the end of my session and the head retention is excellent!

The smell is of malt and fruit but it's on the light side.

The taste is nice and malty. Lots of chewy caramel malt hits my tastebuds first followed by some bready notes and a citric fruit kick that hits the back of my throat nicely. It has a medium mouthfeel and the carbonation is fairly light. After a few more sips the hops become a little more assertive but it's still a nicely balanced Amber. It finishes slightly sweet and leaves a fairly long lasting aftertaste. Good stuff!
