This ridiculously tasty Amber Ale is a Northwest classic and our flagship brew. Don’t just take our word for it - Full Sail Amber has brought home 28 gold medals. Not that we’re counting or anything. Malty sweet, medium-bodied with a reddish amber hue and a spicy floral hop finish, this is one great-tasting beer. We’re as proud of it today as we were back in ’89.

Brillant deep amber colour, good frothy beige head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, grain, caramel, ripe red fruits. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, roast, caramel. Medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, burnt caramel, touch of lemon, hint of chocolate, very nice amber ale.

Pretty solid clean-cut amber, not too bitter, could use a bit more cara malt possibly for chewy mouthfeel. Bottle from trader joes ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Total Wine, South Richmond. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is floral, caramel, nuts. Flavor is roasted caramel, nuts... slightly sweet, pretty good. Surprisingly better than I envisioned.

355ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Floral-herbal-spicy hoppy aroma, hints of menthol and peppermint, minimally chococlately, malty background with a chocolate cookie touch. Taste delivers an identical combination of flavours with an additional touch of lemon in the hop profile.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a deep copper color with a small tight beige head. Rich toasted malt nose with nutty tendencies. Flavor follows the nose with additional notes of caramel and mocha. Spicy hops come through and offer a nice balance to the sweet maltiness. Well crafted and full of malty goodness.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Aroma is bread, caramel, nuts. Appearance is dark amber with trace sparkle, 2-finger width frothy beige head and minimal lacing. Taste is as aroma with caramel dominating, late fruit. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and sweet, dry finish. Overall, a nice representative of the style. Not too heavy.

355ml bottle. (6.0% ABV) Pours a clear amber with a thin, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt with a hint of chocolate. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, chocolate, biscuit, peach and grass with a mildly bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. This was actually pretty tasty (as the label states)... for a boring style.

12 oz bottle poured. Narrowly missed the enjoy by date, but jokes on you, I’m still enjoying it. If I stumble across a "damn that’s fresh" bottle, then I will adjust the material accordingly. I don’t see a whole lot of change though, so let’s go with it. Pours a dark copper with a short fizz head. Sweet, watery malt aroma and flavor, and a little on the nutty side. Drinks easy, and quite refreshing. Tasty. For the price, it’s fantastic. Gotta love the buck a bottle for good beer.
