A style nearly lost to history, a Bohemian interpretation of the Vienna Lager. We used all Czech malt in the mash tun, making 2 decoctions. We used both Žatec and Sládek hops in the
kettle and lagered the beer for 6 weeks. The result is a brilliant beer that is bright orange. Like all authentic lagers it is a harmony of malt and hops that transcends the individual voice of each ingredient. There is a toasty, caramel and candy like flavor from the malt and a spicy and herbal bite and aroma of the hops, one leading into another, like a string quartet.

Side pour pull at the brewery. A pretty solid introduction to Jailbreak. True to style, pleasant pretzely amber malt touched malt tones. Respectable hop balance, not overboard but chewy and present. Good.
