Kanavan Panimon ensimmäinen Sahti syntyi loppukeväästä yhteistyössä Ranch Breweryn ja Viking Maltin kanssa. Olut on tuoretuote ja etenkin Sahdin kohdalla se pitää paikkansa. Elävä muinaisolut säilytetään Panimolla kellaritankissa noin +2 asteessa.

Sample from the plastic bag at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, Helsinki. Color is clear dark brown with very small bubbly head. Aromas and flavors: Grain, juniper, some banana, nice drinkability....

(Poured from a tinfoil bag at Pikkulintu Puotila, 20241215) The beer poured brown and opaque. Its head was small and white. Aroma had toasted malts, juniper, banana and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with no carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, juniper, molasses, rye malts, banana and light bitterness. Aftertaste had juniper, rye malts and banana. Tasty sahti.

Plastic bag @ Dom Mikkeli Aroma has floury tones and some sweet malt in background. Flavour has juniper, sweet malt, caramel. Lingering juniper and floury tones. Alcohol is present but does not disturb - it becomes more evident after some sips though. A solid sahti strong on juniper.
