Smell of malt, rye bread. Hazy chestnut colour, high off-white head. Aroma of earth, malt, nuts, rye bread. Bitter, lightly sweet. Lively carbon. Hides ABV well. Excellent stuff.

A dark brown beer, a head is quite small and blond.Aroma has breadyness, caramel and fruitness, herbals vibes in the back, nice balance. Taste has dried bread, herbs, great bitterness, still great balance. Medium+ bodied. Maybe the bitterness doing it's magic and this is very balanced. Great beer. 8 7 8 8 8.5

Rated at Malja. Smooth, sweetish malty and caramely with some toffee, grassy hops, hints of prunes, raisins and lingering bitterness, quite dry finish. Not your typical wee heavy. Quite tasty nevertheless

0,25l on tap @ Oluthuone Haka. Pours clear mahogany with a low head. Aroma is dry toasted malts with caramel. Flavor is dry toasted malts, spices, caramel, nuts, hops. Dry and bitter interpretation of the style, but quite tasty.

(Keg at Oluthuone Haka, 20241018) The beer poured brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, malts, molasses and toffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, molasses, toffee, toasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. Pleasant malty brew with good drinkability.

Keg @ Oluthuone Haka, Helsinki. Poured clear, mahogany looks with a thin white head. Served quite cold. Beautiful looks. Malty with nice caramel and caramelized notes. Biscuity. And got some hop bitterness in the drying finish as well. (of course when Hagström is involved). Solid brew.
