Tap at 5piste5. Smell of raisins, sweet malt, some peat. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of malt, rye bread, wood, rum. Soft carbon. Sweet. Pleasant.

Keg @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Poured dark brown in color. thin off white head. Strong malty aroma with notes of molasses, malts and wood in flavor. Light barrel notes but feeling the base version was slightly better.

(Keg at One Pint Pub, 20231227) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had molasses, toasted malts, wood and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, molasses, wood, vanilla, grass, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, vanilla, malts and bitterness. A taste malty brew with subtle barrel notes.

Draught @ Kultainen Apina Aroma has sweet and sticky malt, raisins, sugar - reminds me of Samichlaus! Flavour has sweet malt, fruity hops, raisins, grapefruit. Finishes with mildly floury malt and lingering hoppiness. Interesting balance of sweet malt and fruity hops here. Barely any recognizable signs of the barrell but this is more balanced than the non-BA version. Drinkability could be better anyway. Hops take over the flavour bouquet after some sips. Cheers again, Hannu!
