Tänä jouluna on kuumat oltavat, kun Joulupukki tulee kylään! Ei tule kovia paketteja, ei tule pehmeitä paketteja. Risutkin loimuavat iloisesti. Koko perhe kutsutaan ilolla syömään, sillä possun sijaan pöydän täyttää perinteinen sopivasti paahtunut Pukinkäristys. Käristys lupaa suun ja mahan täyttävää mallasta, kahvista paahdetta, pehmeitä suklaan aromeja ja pitkään viipyilevää täyteläisyyttä.
Pukinkäristys on imperial stout eli musta kuin pitkä syksy. Mitään valonpilkahdusta on turha tästä keitoksesta etsiä ja nyt ei enää riitä kuusen pienet kynttiläiset. Ainoa valonlähde on iloisesti rätisevä takkatuli. Jos olet jouluinhoaja ja et tykkää Joulupukista, niin syö nyt vähintään vihanneksesi!

Smell of chocolate, roasted malt, some rye bread. Black colour, brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash, coffee, chocolate. Some tar in finish. Bitter, lightly sweet. Really good.

A black beer, a head is medium, dense and brown. Aroma has liquorice, roastiness, also some salt liquorice and feelings of salty sea. Taste has salt liquorice, roastiness, light caramel is balancing, also bitterness. Full bodied, not stickyness. This is great beer. No smooth enjoyment, more like punch into the face.

44 cl can @ home. Canned 10/2023, BBE 13.10.2025 Lots of foam when pouring. Aroma has licorice and ash. Flavour has ash, licorice, some mild spiciness. Salty licorice in the finish. Not bad but this has slight off-flavours typical of overfoaming beers.

0,44l can from Alko. Canned 10/23, bbe 13.10.2025. Black beer with good and stable, cloudy light brown head. Aroma and flavor has roasted malts, coffee, ashes and dry and bitter finish. Well balanced, very nice IS.

(Can 0.44l, from Alko, 20231124) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate, coffee and hops. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, hops, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, ash, hops and bitterness. A pleasant and balanced burnt brew that hid its ABV very well.
