Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour with not much head. Aroma is blueberries, some roasted malts, mild chocolate and actually some raspberries too. Flavour is blueberries, vanilla, some toasted malts, toffee, mild vanilla as well as some slight tones of alcohol. Rather thick as for the palate.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ Tasting ] - fonefan & Brugmansia House. 🏡🇩🇰 👀 [ As Mikkeller San Diego Træblod - Blueberry Waffle - Aged in Bourbon Barrel ]. ABV: 14.0%. Clear dark dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, sweet malt, cookie - cake (asume waffle), blueberry, maple syrup, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, blueberry, dark malt, sweet malt, chocolate, maple syrup, cinnamon, coffee, cake - waffle, barrel - vanilla - bourbon. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20211016] 7-4-8-4-15

On tap at Mikkeller SF, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma reveals an insane amount of blueberry upfront, with a touch of wood further back. Flavour reveals liquidy chocolate, lots of blueberry pur�e, and woody barrel character. This is like a blueberry liqueur but in imperial stout format. Very tasty, though the blueberries steal the show. Excellent.
