Tropical IPA
This IPA is focused on tropical fruit aromas and smooth bitterness. Specialty malts add a layer of sweetness, and Vermont ale yeast helps accentuate the hops with passion fruit notes.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to snifter.
Appearance: golden amber color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which tapered off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: slight citrusy to grapefruity and orange hop tones up front with a clean caramel/toffee malt base
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fair bittersweet quality; finishes slightly dry with grapefruity and orangey notes
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; light smoothness but with some hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: nice enough West coast styled IPA I could return to.

Can from the Monterey venue. Pours coppery gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is quite tropical with mildly roasty malt. Melon. Med body. Quite juicy. Melon. Passion fruit. Citrus. And, yes, pineapple notes. Not exactly dry. Fruit juice sweetness in a light way. Somewhat biting bitterness. At the end of the evening it is quite tasty and pleasing.
