500 ml bottle (2021 version) from John (thanks bud!), 1/7/22. Pours a dark brown with a smaller light-medium brown head that leaves some light / streaky lace. Roast, whiskey, and some licorice. Bit of smokiness. Wood and booze. Drinks hotter than it is. Nice flavor overall.

Bottle from Craft Shack. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy dark tan head. Complex aroma of anise, chocolate, coffee, burnt malt and some scotch notes. Full bodied. Flavor pretty much matches the aroma tho there's some interesting wood and slightly smoky scotch aspects. Very good tasting ale. Mouthsmacking!
