18/5/2024. Bottle at Landshut GP beer share. From Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Pours black with a frothy/creamy beige head. Great pour. Aroma is dark malts, chocolate, roasted, nutty, dark fruits. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Smooth and not over carbonated like many bottled milds are. This is a very good mild.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - many thanks for another Mild!]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, dark beige to tan head. Sweet-ish and toasty, chocolately, slightly nutty, dark malty aroma, notes of chocolate, cocoa, hints of roasted nuts, praline, treacle ovetones, whiffs of coconut, white coffee. Taste is sweet-ish, toasty, chocolately, slightly nutty and minimally spicy, dark malty, mildly bitter hoppy, notes of chocolate, praline, roasted nuts, Brazil nut, a touch of toasted coconut, treacle, minimally fruity overtones with a touch of plum. Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft, somehow minimally crumbly palate, Wonderful composition, immensely rich and quite complex for its low abv, super tasty - formidable.

Bottle ordered from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Aroma has dark rich chocolate with coffee and sharp coffee berries. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Medium bitter. Coffee. Dark chocolate. Underlying nuts. Develops a tangy sour berry streak. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. A big Mild. Certainly verging on a Stout.
