Bottle from Peppered Pear Pantry, Godalming. Aroma is malty with a citrus edge and spice. Opaque amber. Thick foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Resin and bitter stone fruit. Tangy marmalade edge and spice. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice enough. Old school UK bitter of a pale ale.

Rocky white head stayed on an unclear golden coloured body. Malt, tobacco & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, tingly with a foamy back & cloying aft. Malt, digestive biscuits, citrussy & grapefruit tastes with a pithy finish. Cleans the palate.
