Gravity cask at the brewpub. Aroma is malty with sour fruit. Clear chestnut. Frothy off-white head. Medium bitter. Grainy. Woody. A touch of resin even. Underlying juicy fruity streak. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat-average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Punchy for the style.

Served straight from cask at the White Lion in Ufford, brewpub for the brewer. Pours a slightly cloudy golden brown with an off white head. Aroma is of fresh hops, caramel, with citrus notes. Has a dry mouth feel, light carbonation, medium body and a creamy/slightly oily texture. Medium sweetness with moderate bitterness. Finish is dry with a light bitter caramel. Very good beer.
