Christmas present from the S-i-L. Should have had it last night but was too full by that stage. Aroma is extremely sweet - creamy caramel, rice pudding and vanilla. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Initial sweet creamy before a big dose if bitterness kicks in. Liquorice and espresso. Hint of sour berries. The sweetness remains but is delicate compared to the bitterness. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat-average carbonation. Long finish. Enjoyable stuff. After the supersweet aroma (which made me wonder if there were adjuncts nit referenced on the can) the beer is surprisingly bitter.
