This festive sour ale was fermented on copious amounts of blueberry and finished with the perfect touch of vanilla and cinnamon, often leading to daydreams of mulled wine, grandma’s blueberry pie and other delicious days of yore. Lotsa love from our kitchen to yours.

5oz pour at Stillwell Freehouse. Pours murky amber with small white head. Aroma has a sickenly sweet berry combo: lots of lactose, blueberry, and cinnamon. Flavour is similar, tastes more like a cobbler than a beer: sweet party malts, some blueberry, cinnamon. 5oz was too much. This is terrible.
A little tart, but packed with blueberries and a strong vanilla finish.

(500ml bottle from the brewery) Pours opaque deep reddish purple with a big lavender head. Notes of beautiful crushed and almost jammy blueberries with moderate sweetness and light, almost yoghurty lactic acidity, rich with notes of red wine, a little vanilla, very soft spicebox cinnamon vibes coming in towards the off-dry finish along with smooth barrel and skin tannins and a light funk profile. Medium-full body with overly aggressive carbonation that needed swirling out. One of the best of this series with banging fruit character, good balance and the adjuncts not running the show.
