Brown, head fades immediately. Tinny dry malt nose and palate with vague bitterness

On tap at Main Street, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt (more roasted than a typical dark lager) and crusty bready malt. Flavour has a dry, roasty malt base, with light earthiness, some toasted bread crusts, and basically no residual sugars on the end. Well-balanced, clean, dry, and bold for the style. Good stuff.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours murky dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is pretty much non-existant. Flavour has damp roasted malts. Mediocre dark lager.
