473mL can, pours a hazy dark amber with a medium beige head. Nose has plenty of oak barrel, dry bready caramel malt, and a touch of red fruits. Flavour has a sturdy malt base, with bready caramel malt, gentle but enough sugars, a nice subtle oak barrel, and the subtlest of spirit character. Nice balanced, good structure; this is surprisingly well-constructed. What it lacks in complexity, it has in depth. Must’ve been improved since Renny had it. Good stuff.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear dark mahogany brown with small off-white head. Lots of woody oak, mild caramel malt, booze, and hint of fruitiness. Okay.

5oz pour at brewery. Pours clear amber with off-white head. Aroma has gin-like aromatics, booze, something malty? Flavour has harsh gin barrels, a bit of woody, some sweet malts. Rough, uncoordinated, and barely palatable. Throwing beer into a barrel does not make it good.
