This beer is built on 2-row, Black Patent, Chocolate and Crystal malts and some roasted barley for a touch of roast. It's robust in flavor but moderate in ABV. Additions of Citra, Simcoe and Cascade Cryo add subtle notes of pine and citrus.

5oz pour at Ballard taproom. Pours black with thick beige head. Aroma has roasted malt and tobacco. Flavour has roasted malt and tobacco. Nice and dry. Solid roasty stout.

On tap at Stoup, pours a deep dark reddish brown/black with a medium tan head. Aroma has plenty of medium roast, some cocoa and plenty of woody hops. Flavour is dominated by intense roasted malt, robust woody hops, and a touch of dry bready malt. Woody, roasted and well-balanced. Excellent.
