This version of our Fresh Hop Fiend series is possible because of innovative technology that takes fresh, unkilned hops and flash freezes them. They are then pelletized into lupulin rich pellets and stored frozen. We used Simcoe hops in this beer which means we can get freshly harvested hop flavor any time of the year!

5oz pour at Ballard taproom. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma has fresh pine, grass, doughy malts. Flavour has tons of dank oils and fresh pine. Nice hop expression, solid.

On tap at Stoup, pours a clear bright golden with a fluffy medium white head. Aroma brings out moderate dank hops, some fresh doughy malt, and that cryo character that's hard to describe. Flavour is very oily, with plenty of oily, dank hops, some gentle pine, and light residual sweetness. Extremely oily — is that due to the frozen hops? It's not bad but doesn't match a properly fresh hop IPA.
