500mL bottle. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma has rye bread, whiskey barrel, dark chocolate. Flavour has toasted rye, whiskey, dry wood. This is an excellent rye imperial stout; great use of barrels.

Beautiful rye spice brought out by the rye barrel, which also adds some vanilla and woody oak notes. Thick dark chocolate, rich toasty malt. Very smooth for 14%

On tap at Crux, pours black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is dusty and roasty, with earthy roast, whiskey barrels, and a dry spiciness from the rye. Flavour is rich and complex, with intense whiskey barrels, dark dried fruits, earthy rye and roast. Massive body, with robust rye to provide a different complement to the beer. Love the barrels and the fruitiness character. Excellent.
