Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has sweet caramel malts. Flavour has pine, sweet caramel malts. Hop expression and carbonation is weak. Not terrible, but they kind of missed the point of an IPA.

On tap at Bomber, pours a clear dark orangey copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals lots of chewy caramel malt, some gentle resins, and bready notes. Flavour is very poorly balanced, with very sweet, syrupy caramel malt, subdued resinous hops, and more sweet. Way too overmalted, not hopped enough, and clumsily balanced. Embarrassing to call this Miramar IPA, when you'd never find anything as amateur as this in the beer Mecca of Miramar, San Diego. Very poor.
