Bottle from the lcbo. Dark brown pour, medium beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, loads of bread, solid grains, huge sweet, sticky malty notes. Full mouth feel, soft carb. Low bitterness, sweet caramel, sweet toffee, sticky syrupy sweet groans and breads. It's like drinking carbonated malt extract. A malty treat.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth Pre-GBBF 2017 tasting - London. Cheers! Pours unclear amber with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds toasted grains, caramel, bready malts. Medium sweet flavour with sugary, grainy malt character, minimal bitterness. Alright balance to finish. A bit simple but enjoyable in its maltiness.

Pours a hazy, deep copper brown colour with a frothy warm beige head, good retention and some light foamy lace. Very fruity nose with mostly dark fruits (figs, dates, raisins, etc), blended with apples and a nice touch of nuttiness. The alcohol is well-hidden with a beautiful touch of warming in the finish. Seems like the hops balances things here as well. Flavours of dark fruits again, with less nutty notes. More of the burnt malts. The bitterness gets stronger and stronger, slowly. Pretty nice all-around.
