On tap at the Northern Lights, Belfast. Dark brown with beige head. Chocolate, bit lactic, roasted, not getting the hops. Sweet with some bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.

[ As Errant Whistler - Black IPA ].
ABV: 4.9%. Cloudy - hazy dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, moderate hoppy, pine, spruce, citrus, grapefruit, licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, dark malt, sweet malt, pine - woody hops, licorice, grapefruit - citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181018]

Cask @ Nottingham Beer Festival. Noce head woth good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, bitter hops, fruits, flowers, chocolate and has a nice long bitter finish.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - pine. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 181018
