A session beer for fans of darker beers, which is brewed with the addition of lactose. There is an initial creamy sweet hit on the pallet followed by the gentle bitterness of dark roasted barley.

Many thanks to simontomlinson for this fantastic bottle. The beer starts creamy and roasted, intense and deep. Lots of roast and caramel, very dry with a deep creamy roasted ending. Fanatastic balanced and intense. --- Beer merged from original tick of Milk Stout on 11 Jul 2019 at 22:26 - Score: 8. Original review text: fantastic deep and roasted. Caramel, deep roasted grain, nice bittered and fantastic. Thanks Simon!

Very creamy beige coloured head stayed well on a jet black still body - looks so appetising.... Strong dark coffee, slightly burnt, oats & dark berry aroma. Medium bodied, airy on the palate & slight tingle on the back leaving a clean aft. Burnt coffee, light citrus, brown sugar & malt followed by a very bitter tangy finish.

Cask at Mad Hatters, Preston. Creamy coffee and chocolate aroma. Dark and glossy. Creamy beige head. Sugary sweet before a bitter streak comes through. Some sour berries below the surface. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long finish..Decent enough. A bit low key but goes down easily.
