Keg at Microbar, Reykjavík. Hazy nut brown, rich head. Grapefruity nose with some toasty malt. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and toasty with grapefruit and notes of tomato. Long bitter finish.

0,33l can from Keflavik International Airport. Bit hazy amber beer with huge and cloudy natural white head. Aroma and flavor has malts, pine, caramel and hints of rye. Bitter and hoppy finish, decent one.

My first good beer while in Iceland. (My second total, don't get my wrong.) Classic bitterness, everything I hoped for. These days I'll take a rye IPA over a hazy any day. Served in what seems to be the standard 40cl Nordic glass.

On tap at Microbar & Brew - Kpavogur, pours a clear dull copper amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out chewy rye bread and toasted bready malt. Flavour is rich and malty, with lots of caramel, dark dried fruits, and rye bready. Nice malty character here and with enough resinous hopping to balance. Very good.
