A unique beer that ambushes your senses, it pours dark with a creamy beige head but tastes light and hoppy! Complex hoppy fruity flavours and aromas mixed with roasty bitter chocolate and coffee tones. Low carbonation for a smooth stout like finish. Dressed in black, charged with hops and ready to rock.

Hops: Centennial, Citra, Vic Secret

Clear deep dark ruby brown colour, small frothy beige head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma malts, light lemon, pine, milk chocolate. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter, malty, chocolate, some pine, light roast. Thin sweetbitter aftertaste, earthy and chocolate notes, light to medium body, watery texture, average carbonation. Could use a bit more body but decent enough.

Bottle. Nice Munich-like malt nose, chocolate, biscuits, grass, and light citrus. Dark brown with orange and a thick, fine head. Sweet malt flavor, some caramel, chocolate, grass, figs, light raisin. Great malt, lightly hoppy. Smooth, full body. Quite German.

A really nice and tasty BIPA. Not as fruity as I hoped. Still full of flavor and nice to drink. Would absolutely have one more. Opaque black color with a fine tan head. Roasted, coffee, some pine, grapefruit hoppy and some chocolate. Medium body and fine carbonation. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Nice!

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Kenwold, 28/11/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is charr, hint coffee, spice, earthy hops, toffee. Taste comprises light pine, dusty hops, light roast, faint berry. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ticks the style boxes, OK CDA, nothing to revisit for me mind.

Pours a deep black color, topped with a generous dark beige colored head. Initially quite distinct fruity aroma, some citruses, later on caramel aroma develops, also slight roasty notes. Taste starts sweet (slightly), roasty quality to it, finishing with a mild bitterness and some coffee notes in the aftertaste.

Bottled. A brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and roasted bread, leading to a bitter finish.
