The base beer of this multigrain Belgian ale was missing something when it was 'finished' so we wanted to take it a step further. The fresh Woodford Reserve barrels arrived around the same time so this beer and those barrels seemed destined to meet up. So the ale was missing something: AND BOY DID IT FIND IT IN THOSE BARRELS! A beautiful golden colour and if gold would have a taste: this would definitely be it.

Tap. Golden-copper color with no head. Aroma is peach, apricots, estery, dough. Taste is the same, quite sweet, some vanilla and caramel. Oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Not great.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017. A clear deep golden beer. Aroma of sweet riped fruits, yellow fruits, vanilla. Taste of sweet oak, vanilla, riped yellow fruits.

From tap. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild citric, slight fruity. Sweet, slight fruity. Toasted malty. Light caramelish. Toasted and mild sweet. Lingering slight fruity finish.

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: banana, fruity, bit of citrus, malts, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter hops, funky, lots and lots of yeast, sugary, alcohol, more banana. Aftertaste: lots of alcohol, some vanilla, bitter, unpleasant medicinal notes. Not a big fan...
