Imagine if hazy IPAs never made their mark on the beer world. What if, instead of the hazy DIPA we know today, Ghost in the Machine became a crystal-clear West Coast DIPA? We’ve taken everything that makes Ghost in the Machine great and reimagined it as a traditional West Coast DIPA. This version boasts a bold tropical citrus punch from the Citra hops we’ve always used in Ghost and, thanks to a longer boil and greater hot-side hopping rates, features crisp, grapefruit pith notes that balance a malty backbone. For a big DIPA, it’s still an easy-drinking beer with a dry, clean finish—a tribute to the classic IPA roots that set the stage for the hazy revolution while still capturing the bold hop character we love.

Medium body. Afdronk met toenemende bitterheid, maar niet samentrekkend.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Honey gold pour. Large, firm white head is enduring. Floral hops on the nose. Notes of honeysuckle, melon, citrus. Flavor is sweet tropical fruit, melon, honey and a hint of pine. Remarkably smooth for the style. Booziness is well hidden. Quite enjoyable.

16oz can from Tavour. Foggy golden pour, dense, rocky head leaves solid lacing all around. Light hoppy aroma, citrusy. Taste is fruity, lemon, zesty with some mild dryness at the finish.

Grapefruit and sharp pineapple. Very nice initial vibe. Some marmalade comes out as this warms up a bit. Only light bitterness. Pours golden with decent head. Can.

Can from Tavour. Pours gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of citrus pith. Med body or even more. Malt is clearly present, but this is not sweet. Grapefruit pith is the main flavor. Definitely bitter.
