A Borefts 2017 special. Spinach and watermint for their tones in taste and color. After brewing we discovered that the 'green' in the beer needed a a wake up turn around to stay in the beer poured out of the bottle. That's why the bottles bear a small extra label: 'Turn 3 times to work green magic'

Bottle. Pours golden-green. Aroma is sweet, mint, vegetables. Flavor is sweet and bitter, mint, cardemon, vegetables, malt, sugar. Overall: not good.

Lichtgroen bier zonder schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van mint en anijs. Heel apart bier met aparte kleur en smaak en hulde voor de durf om dit te maken. Helaas één van de mindere bieren van deze brouwer.

Bottle @ home. Greenish yellowish color with particles. Mostly white head with short retention. Aroma's: sweetish, herbs, you actually smell spinach. Retronasal it's sweetish, herbal, marzipan, fruity, a bit tea-ish. Flavor is moderate sweet, strange, herbal. Medium bodied. Finish is herbal, light bitter. Weird, not my thing.

Bottle. Aroma of mint, lemon, grassy spice and yeast. Taste has lemon, yeast, subtle mint, grassy herbs and a surprising amount of spinace. Really weird, but interesting.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of spinach, mint, pepper, yeast and citrus. Pours clear green color with thin creamy off-white head, floating spinach flakes and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with moderate sweet malt, following is peppery, vegetably and minty, mouthfeel is spicy, while finish is medium bitter. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Not so growse as expected, but pretty good in fact...

Draught @ 9th. BBF 2017 [ 9th Borefts Beer Festival 2017 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As De Molen Mean & Green ].Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, spicy - herbs, mint - spearmint, anis seed, herbs. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy, anis seed, mint - spearmint, herbal, herbs, light citrus - lemon. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottled 11-09-17. It's green. Doesn't taste as bad as I feared. Not delicious, but certainly not half bad. Light, minty, lemony. Refreshing!
After having some more, and it warming up, it gets way more minty and way less drinkable. Didn't finish. Pity, and a bad idea. Drink frozen!
