Bottle at the pre-Borefts tasting, Den Haag, 2016. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy mineral light hop. The flavour is light bitter with a light mineral, light fruit, light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Can from Foodshow in Tokyu. Drank straight from the can. Aromas of sweet rice and light peach. Taste is similar. Fairly sweet, but still drinkable. I’m really not a fan of Koshihikari beers...why do I keep rating them? Because it was in a can I guess...sigh. --- Beer merged from original tick of Koshihikari on 31 Aug 2015 at 19:07 - Score: 5

Dorada clara y limpia, de un dedo de espuma blanca y fina burbuja. Aroma escaso, herbal. En boca es eminentemente cereal pero no dulce, con amargor moderado. Seca, e insΓpida.

60cl bottle in a japanese style club in Manhattan, NY, 04.04.2015. Didn’t know this was a rice beer, felt like a lager/pilsener. Pale yellow color, clear, average white head, mild grainy aroma, light body, dry finish. Average.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Smells and tastes like an adjunct lager, possible a little light struck funk to go with it. Pale golden with musty grain aroma (rice?). Taste is more grain, export lager quality.

Location: Bottle at The General, 8/30/14

Aroma: The aroma is similar to most pale lagers, slightly sweeter, light hop, notes of rice
Appearance: It pours a golden-orange color with a fairly small head and light lace
Flavor: The flavor is light as well, with a bit of sweetness, and a mild bitterness
Palate: The body is light with plenty of carbonation, not as watery as many of the pale lagers around
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty decent example example of a pale lager. It has more flavor than many in the style, and comes off as less watery as well. Not a great beer, but you could do a lot worse.
